Description
Do you want to learn how to best support a dive buddy with physical or mental limitations ?
The PADI ® Adaptive Support Diver course will raise your awareness of divers’ different abilities by exploring adapted techniques to apply while diving or freediving with a partner with a disability.

It is also recommended that you complete the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy course prior to this in order to have better trim awareness.
Academic Course
Through theoretical development and two underwater workshops – one in confined water and one in open water – you will learn useful techniques that will make you a better diving buddy for a diver with a disability.
You will gain understanding and practical experience as you learn:
- How to become more aware and attentive to certain personal considerations when diving with people with disabilities.
- Some adapted techniques that you can apply when diving with dive buddies with physical and / or mental limitations.
Equipment you will use
Along with your basic scuba or freediving equipment, your PADI instructor may suggest additional equipment to better assist your buddy’s particular needs.
