Description
Imagine diving into a transparent mountain lake to explore a well-preserved wreck. Interested in learning more ?
When you dive above 300 meters / 1000 feet above sea level, you are diving in altitude.
If you are ready to discover a hidden world where few have ventured, then the PADI Altitude Diver specialty course is for you.
If you are at least 10 years old and are a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the PADI Altitude Diver specialty course.
Academic Course
Learning to adapt your planning to the lower environmental pressure is an important part of the course.
You will do two dives and learn:
- The planning, organization, procedures and techniques of altitude diving.
- How to adjust your dive computer for altitude diving or how to calculate dive profiles using the RDP Table or eRDPMLTM.
- To avoid problems at altitude and, if they arise, to manage emergency situations.
Get credit! The first dive of this PADI Specialty Diver course can be credited as an Adventure Dive for your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
Equipment you will use
In addition to using the basic equipment, you may need a dry suit for cold waters.
