Francesco Cordone: A Life in the Blue Between Experience and Freedom
Hello! I am Francesco Cordone and, if you are reading these lines, we probably share the same attraction to the sea. My journey in the underwater world began over 30 years ago. First as a CMAS 3*** Instructor and Trainer, then as a PADI Scuba Instructor and today as a PADI Freediving Trainer. In simple terms? I train those who want to learn and prepare those who want to become a professional freediver.
From Sea Rescue to the Fiji Islands
Mine is not just a profession, it is a mission. In Italy, in my beloved Puglia, I had the honour of managing a Diving Centre in Polignano a Mare and collaborating with government bodies to lay the foundations of the 118 Mare project. Curiosity took me far, all the way to the Fiji Islands, where I worked on coral reef conservation. As a PADI Shark Specialist, I also dedicated years to teaching young people (from 7 to 16 years old) that the sea should be understood and protected, not feared.
Why Malta? And why an Independent Professional?
In 2012 I chose the Maltese archipelago as my operational base. Today I work here as an independent professional with a registered VAT number. Not having a fixed location is not a limitation, but my ace in the hole. All my technical equipment is meticulously maintained in my private workshop, ready to be taken wherever the sea is best on that day. This means zero constraints for you, maximum flexibility and 5-star quality thanks to my collaborations with the best PADI 5 Star Diving Centres on the island. With over 5,000 certifications issued, your safety is my absolute priority.
My Team
Although I am your main guide, I rely on the collaboration of a selected team of Divemasters and Instructors. They are professionals I have personally chosen because they share my philosophy: the sea is fun, but safety and respect for the environment come before anything else.
