Equipment Policy – Underwater Academy

This Equipment Policy governs the terms and conditions for the use of diving equipment provided by Underwater Academy within courses, activities, and training programs.


1. Equipment Provision

Underwater Academy provides diving equipment to users:

  • On a loan basis (free of charge), or
  • On a rental basis, where applicable

Equipment is supplied exclusively for participation in organized activities or, where permitted, to certified divers.


2. User Responsibility

The customer/student is fully responsible for the equipment:

  • From the moment of delivery
  • Throughout the entire period of use
  • Until it is returned

This responsibility includes proper care, correct usage, and prevention of damage, loss, or theft.


3. Proper Use of Equipment

Equipment must be used:

  • In accordance with instructions provided by staff
  • Following recognized diving safety standards
  • With all necessary precautions

Users are required to act with due care and diligence at all times.


4. Limitations of Use

The conditions of use vary depending on the user profile:

a) Underwater Academy Students

For students enrolled in courses:

  • Equipment may only be used during officially organized activities
  • Direct supervision by a qualified instructor is required
  • Independent use outside scheduled activities is strictly prohibited

b) Certified Divers (Rental Use)

For certified divers:

  • Equipment may be rented subject to verification of a valid certification confirming the diver’s training level
  • Independent use is permitted, within the limits of the diver’s certification and applicable safety standards

c) General Provisions

For all users:

  • Full responsibility for the equipment remains unchanged
  • Any improper or unauthorized use may result in suspension of service
  • Disciplinary or financial penalties may apply as per the signed agreement

5. Damage, Loss, or Theft

In the event of:

  • Damage
  • Loss
  • Theft

The user is required to pay compensation in accordance with the agreement accepted and signed at the time of course registration or rental.


6. Return of Equipment

At the end of the activity or rental period, equipment must be returned:

  • In the same condition as provided
  • Allowing for normal wear and tear due to proper use

Otherwise, compensation will be required.


7. Safety

User safety is a top priority.

Compliance with this policy is essential to ensure:

  • Personal safety
  • Proper conduct of activities
  • Protection of the equipment
