Technical Tips

Properly planning your equipment for exploring the Inland Sea allows you to fully enjoy the spectacular contrast of light between the darkness of the canyon and the cobalt blue of the open sea. During the summer months, a 5 mm wetsuit provides ideal comfort, while during transitional seasons or winter, a semi-dry or drysuit is recommended to protect against colder temperatures and deep thermoclines. A dive torch is an essential tool for illuminating the tunnel walls, which are approximately 80 meters long, and spotting colorful sponges, corals, and small cardinalfish hidden within the rocky crevices. Regarding breathing gas mixtures, the use of Nitrox is strongly recommended for certified divers to extend bottom time and safely explore the majestic vertical walls and outer rockfalls that descend into the blue beyond the tunnel exit.
