Course Location
Malta and Gozo represent the perfect setting to begin your mermaiding journey. Our islands offer sheltered bays with incredibly clear and calm waters. You will train in natural environments that look like they belong to a film set. We carefully select the best sites to ensure maximum visibility and comfort. The experiences take place right in this Mediterranean paradise.
During the 3-hour activity, you will admire the rich biodiversity of the Maltese seabed. The favorable climate makes every dive a moment of pure rejuvenating pleasure. Finally, the coastal layout allows safe sessions throughout the year.
Required prerequisites
• Minimum age: Participants must be at least 6 years old.
• Swimming ability: You must be comfortable in water and able to swim without aids.
• Health: A suitable physical condition is required (by completing the PADI medical form).
• Experience: No previous scuba diving or freediving certification is required.
What the participant will learn
During this session, you will learn the fundamental basics to move like a true freediver. You will learn the “dolphin kick” technique, essential for the fluid propulsion typical of mermaids.
Our professionals will teach you how to manage basic equalization techniques and conscious breathing. You will also acquire the skills needed to handle minor emergencies during confined water activities.

Certification and exams
As this is an introductory experience and not a full course, there is no formal final exam. At the end of the activities, you will receive a PADI Discover Mermaid participation recognition. There are no written tests, as the focus is entirely on practice and enjoyment.
